6. And Trump has about an 80% approval rating

in the Republican party, so 20% don't care for him. I don't agree with their policy positions, but at least they want to maintain democracy in the US.

I wish that the US dichotomy was between a Bernie/AOC Democratic party and a Clinton/Obama Democratic party, but realistically the US is to the right of that. I think that if democracy is to be saved, the Republicans who truly want democracy even if they aren't in charge must be a part of the salvation. Unfortunately, I think that is only about 20% of their base. Even after the attempted coup, when Trump's approval
dropped, the approval came back up to 80% in a few months.
