I always feel foolish, but I am what I am. It's hard for us, right? A lot of people who don't have these fears simply don't understand. I wish I could be more like "normal" people in this regard. A good friend of mine has always said that it is the loss of control that freaks me out. Someone ELSE is in control even for the few minutes it takes to get through the tests. And I think that's a great part of it for me.

I try very hard not to make things difficult for the medical personnel who are there to help me. Most, I've found, are quite understanding and their calming presence helps me get through. I just wish that I didn't spend a week stressing over these.

I'm going to treat myself to something special once they are over. If I can ever return the favor for you, please let me know. I've tried a lot of stress reducing things and I'll be happy to share with you what I've found that works for me, and what doesn't - IF that would ever be helpful.

Thanks again!
