Has anyone been to Barcelona or Madrid? [View all]

Any recommendations? Thanks!

We're planning to visit Spain for the first time, so all suggestions warmly received. We'll have about a week in the country. The only thing I've heard was "avoid Iberia Airlines."

(I speak some rudimentary high school Spanish.)
