On another site, the Travel Forum is one of the most visited sections. People use it to get advice to plan trips, RV people use it to keep in touch and plan get togethers, and people post information about bad trip experiences.

And for those of us who don't travel much, it is a vicarious pleasure to read everyone else's adventures!
