6. I remember well the blizzard of Christmas 1982 in Denver

Everything stopped on Christmas eve. One daughter had to walk home with a chef from the restaurant they were working in who couldn't get his car out. Another daughter and 2 year old took Amtrak from Chicago. When the train got close to the station there was so much snow they had to walk down the tracks; her brother picked them up in the last car running in Denver downtown. The six of us stayed in my one bedroom apartment for three days til my car was plowed out, enjoying Christmas carols, Christmas toys and a delicious Christmas turkey.
