1. I remember x-country skiing my then Aussie-Lab mix to Cheeseman park, where the hardy were digging

snow tunnels for the dogs to disappear in (and a few snow caves for the even "hardier" to toke away an hour or two--prior to legal pot, obviously). Those dogs, though, including my own. just had the best day of their lives.

The other thing I remember is how very long it was before any residential streets on Capitol Hill were plowed and how hard it was to walk around the enormous snow piles for weeks afterward when they finally did.
