2. They toured separately in the '80s.

There was a club in Sharon PA that had a nice stage. It was owned by a wealthy guy named "Jigs" who brought in bands for his own enjoyment and had no cover charge at the door.

One week it would be a 15 year old Derek Trucks, but only in summer because his parents wanted him to finish school, and a couple weeks later Susan Tedeshi would swing by. Apparently they ran into each other along the way and musical magic happened. Those were the days. I have their double CD, a faithful live cover of the album "Layla" in rotation in the car right now.

Studebaker John, Mason Ruffner, Jimmy Thackery, and Coco Montoya - we got to see them all right down the road from my house.
