area. They have it in spades - in their music and in how they treat people. They paid their band during Covid. They honor older blues players.

And I have loved Blues since I saw James Cotton play for 3+ hours in college.

I'm sure you treasure that memory!

I remember the first time I heard the blues. We were at a friends house and he had on this old blues record and it was amazing. I don't remember who it was, it just created a desire to learn more about this "new" type of wonderful music.

There was a club in Sharon PA that had a nice stage. It was owned by a wealthy guy named "Jigs" who brought in bands for his own enjoyment and had no cover charge at the door.

One week it would be a 15 year old Derek Trucks, but only in summer because his parents wanted him to finish school, and a couple weeks later Susan Tedeshi would swing by. Apparently they ran into each other along the way and musical magic happened. Those were the days. I have their double CD, a faithful live cover of the album "Layla" in rotation in the car right now.

Studebaker John, Mason Ruffner, Jimmy Thackery, and Coco Montoya - we got to see them all right down the road from my house.
