(10,013 posts)I go with the mood I'm in. So probably the most frequent are The Jam, Radiohead, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, T-Rex, Jeff Buckley, Kate Bush, Bjork, Sex Pistols, Adam Ant, Bauhaus, The Clash, Joy Division, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Talking Heads, B-52's, Makem & Clancy, The Pogues, Corelli, Haydn, Chopin, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Lauren Hill, Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick and a million others. I'm leaving sooooooo many out.
I like just about every genre. The only ones I've never liked much are Southern Rock, Easy Listening, Heavy Metal and a lot of Pop or Country (I like the old stuff but that's about it. (Think Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr, Patsy Cline)
I grew up on Classic Rock and folk mostly (thanks Mom!) Southern Rock lost me. I just couldn't get into it so it led me to R&B and Soul, then Punk, Post Punk, New Wave, Alternative, etc and the rest is history.
