8. My shortest lived gift...

Was a watch that I wanted so badly, any watch, I just wanted a watch at ten years old. And I got one!

My much older sister, who was in college so not home much, gave me a rather interesting looking "mod" watch and I was so excited. But within days it was not working, not no way, not no how. It was a mystery. She took it back and exchanged it so I had a new watch once again. And about two days later it refused to work. I wasn't over-winding or anything, I just seemed kill watches.

It was the beginning of recognizing a life-long lie energy thing, I kill or mess up clocks. There are no two clocks in my home that keep correct time. Some always run ten minutes fast, one insists on11 minutes and twenty - two seconds and even the one on my laptop is usually off by a couple minutes if I go by broadcasting time. Not sure what it is exactly but my presence near any clock will influence it somehow, no matter the power source for the clock/watch.
