What is pretty rare up here in NYC is a more south than usual visitation by a Snowy Owl.
One showed up Central Par a few yrs ago, and the birders were having a party. Luckily photographs! Beautiful bird.

Otherwise our denzines are migrating, or staying put. Others come from somewhat further north but not the artic, and make stops here before heading southward.
