8. I live only a few miles from the Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge in TN

It is a nearly 9,000 acre wetlands refuge that is closed to human activity from Nov. 15 through March 15, to provide a safe over-wintering spot for waterfowl. It is amazing to see the numbers of ducks and geese!
