We had always used white lights on the tree and throughout the house until we got grandchildren. They like the colored lights, so that's what we have now!

You years I looked for bubble lights I found them at wal marts. They were in old fashioned boxes. I loved them as a kid

Yes the bulbs were clear. the liquid inside was colored. As the colored liquid in the bulb got hot it would bubble.
