Evaluations consistently place Israel's healthcare system in the top ten in the world.
Israel ranks 10th on the list of best healthcare systems in the world, with an overall score of 61.73. Israel scored particularly highly in the Government Readiness category, with a score of 90.25. The quality and level of provision of Israels healthcare is reflected in the countrys ranking of most hospital beds per 1,000 people, coming fourth in the world.
Meanwhile, the US ranks as the worst performer among ten developed nations in critical areas of health care, including preventing deaths, access (mainly because of high cost) and guaranteeing quality treatment for everyone, regardless of gender, income or geographic location.
Somehow the hardworking American taxpayer in the world's largest GDP economy can't get universal healthcare for all its citizens.
