One of my favorite Substack authors, Christopher Armitage, wrote "Don't Sue First, Do First: 10 Soft Secession Policies You Can Fight For Today" in The Existentialist Republic about some great ways to resist, slow down, and make it costly for the Trump administration.

The philosophy is simple: don't sue first, do first, wherever and whenever possible. Revenue and accountability create independence. Here's what you should be calling, emailing, and showing up to demand from your mayors, governors, legislators, and attorneys general right now:

1. Public Job Portal: Demand your state or city create a public alternative to private job hiring sites. Use existing infrastructure, charge businesses for postings, keep it free for job seekers. Revenue and public service in one.

2. Federal Tax Withholding Redirect: Push for all state employees and businesses to reroute federal tax withholdings through the state for audit purposes. Yes, it's ambitious. Start the conversation.

3. Protection Against Federal Overreach: Demand your municipality commit to arresting anyone conducting masked, warrantless abductions. Civil liberties need teeth.

He says it's time for political guerilla warfare.
