28. The rule of flying flags at half staff for 30 days in mourning for a president . . .

. . . is part of the U.S. Flag Code, which didn't exist prior to 1954, when Eisenhower signed it into law. So while you are certainly right about Johnson and Nixon, I'm not sure it was the case with Truman and the earlier presidents. Do you have a source that can confirm that?
