halt when it snows. Nobody cleans off sidewalks, so was amazed at the number of my co-workers who showed up in leg and arm casts. Traffic stopped on Connecticut Ave., a main thoroughfare, so people could walk there safely because it got somewhat plowed. Am a lifelong Floridian, so was my first (only) experience dealing with ice and snow.
