If you set up arrangements, your siblings or anyone else really don't have much say. They can request changes, or talk things over, but if you're the executor, you have this legal power. Arrangements are kind of contractual. Funeral directors are usually of great help, they deal with grief all the time.
Courage, and be kind to yourself. It's a tough happening. Cherish the good memories.

Both of my parents are buried in a veteran cemetery in MA. Between the funeral home and the VA, it all went well.

That's hard. Being an only child, I had no sibling issues about final arrangements.

The 10 days was for PA and that was almost 20 years ago but I doubt anything has changed.

For my 2 cents' worth, you'll be fine in everything you do. Keep up the good work and your spirits.
