Questions we asked when studying earlier civilizations and their beliefs, the questions of how the entire world believed in mythological beings and creation stories. Now we know. The illusion that humanity and civilized society has advanced in those thousands of years is just that, an illusion. We are no smarter or better than our predecessors in faraway lands. The stories of whom they called gods lived on mountains, in oceans, flew through the sky, and even drained oceans. On top of that healthcare for the gods was impeccable - they were immortal.
And now we know how myths, legends, and folklore comes to be.
