(Rolling Stone) Enough food to feed about 1.5 million children for a week equal to nearly 500 metric tons of emergency food is set to expire today, The Atlantic reports. Despite Secretary of State Marco Rubio ensuring representatives on the House Appropriations Committee in May that food aid would reach its intended recipients, the Trump administration reportedly plans to spend $130,000 to burn the biscuits instead of sending them to children in need.
Trump's Disapproval Rating Just Hit a Record for His Second Term
(Daily Beast) President Donald Trumps disapproval rating has hit a new high for his second term as those outside his MAGA base steadily desert him, according to a new poll. A survey conducted over the weekend by the Economist/YouGov shows that Trumps overall disapproval rating has climbed to the dizzying new height of 55 percent. Forty-one percent of the 1,680 U.S. adults who responded still approve of the job Trump is doing, down from 42 percent in the same poll a week earlier, when Trumps disapproval rating sat at 53 percent.
