and totally demoralized capitulations that often smack of really severe (and perhaps clinical) depression.

I think the former is far less harmful, albeit I do not want propaganda and unrealistic expectations to drive our strategy now, especially with an eye on 2026. Still, I think MT does a service in keeping many motivated. A middle ground, might be nice...
