I especially like his phrasing, "I don't think that the Senate should be the House."

There's an old saying about the structure of the United States Congress: if the House is the teacup of democracy, the Senate is the saucer.

The Federalist Papers referred to the need to block "The Politics of Faction."

The filibuster in and of itself is not the problem. Its abuse is the problem. Bernie described having a staffer call down to say that a member would filibuster and that currently stops debate. Outrageous! If the Senate is the world's most exclusive debate society, then bills should be debated!

Remember when McConnell was Minority Leader with Harry Reid running the show? How often did we advocates call on Leader Reid to enact "the talking filibuster"? Many, many times! That is what Sanders advocates and he's right.
