Some of the posters absolutely hate Bernie for reasons I'm not quite sure other than they seem to blame Bernie and his supporters for HRC's loss.

Believe me, nobody is more disappointed at having that vile creature in the White House. He has exceeded my expectations of how awful, mean and petty he can be.

Would HRC have made a better president? NO QUESTION. But it was her "job" to convince the public to vote for her. The campaign was hers to make and she had lots of money to do so. Bernie gave his support and did campaign speeches for her. Now it seems that wasn't enough. Again, it was her campaign and how she used or did not use Bernie in her campaign was her decision. He was willing and I recall him strongly urging everyone who would listen to vote for HRC over DT.

Obviously HRC was not successful in her campaign. I think it was in part to her past history and in part by the mistakes the campaign she ran. I'm rather disappointed HRC hasn't assumed full responsibility for her loss, but that's what it is. Just wish people would be mad/disappointed with the correct person. Rather some blame Bernie as he couldn't deliver his base.

All I can say is I voted for Bernie in the primary and then for HRC in the general. But I certainly understand why some of Bernie's base didn't vote for her. We were never made to feel welcomed. It seemed all HRC's campaign wanted was for the Bernie supports to vote for her and shut up. They didn't want to talk about the mistakes made in the primary and how it was so weighed in HRC's favor. All seemed to be true based on what party stalwart Donna Brazile later revealed. And I still feel this to today.

But I fully believe Democrats are the way to go. I will not hold the current candidates responsible for what happened in the 2016 primaries. I want the winning candidate to succeed and return the US to normalcy. What a fine group we have so far with Bernie leading the pack.
