A technical nit, I agree.

But what you are doing is driving off a carboxyl group and changing thc-a to thc. thc-a isn't psychotropic; burning it when you smoke it or cooking it converts it for you, but if you use it to create an extract, it won't be converted..

But beware, if you overcook it, you will create thc-n from the thc. Nothing wrong with that, but thc-n will make you very sleepy and also isn't psychotropic.

Not that I would know anything about it. Just sayin.
