My buckets have ranged from 3 gal to 5 gal. I have used both cfl and LED. Got the best from LED and the most from cfl, although i contribute it to a combination of lights and plant genetics. My space is 3' x 3'. I fit two buckets. Don't forget quality nutes. Enjoy!!
