I don't think the kids ruined their lives, but one very stupid officer ruined one.

For nearly fifty years we have been doing something we are fully aware doesn't work. But the right people make money and politicians get elected on the ruined lives random strangers.

I've always found it weird the the ones without hidden agendas are the "criminals" in this whole steaming pile.
