3. Did you use kif to infuse?

The cleanest taste always comes from the kif. Dry Ice extraction with sifting bags is the best method of separation. Always freeze the herb before using the dry ice in the bags, it speeds up the process and produces the finest product for infusion. Some will start with a 45 micron bag of 45 microns in the screen for the best sift, then move on to a 73 micron and finally a 90 micron for lower grades.

I find it is all in the strain. A truly superb Sativa running at about 16 or more weeks of flowering will usually produce the most uplifting kif at either the 25 micron or the 45 micron level while a heavy indica produces best at 73 microns.

It's all about the trichomes since most of the head is a wax, very similar to your coconut oil, containing the cannabinoids and the terpenes. The sift only removes the trichomes and when you use just the kif, you get rid of any of the chlorphyl while preserving most of the terpene signature and al of the cannabinoids of your cannabis.
