Legal MJ in Maine.. Do other states copy your ID when entering a shop? [View all]

I was in Portland and Went to a shop.They wanted to make a copy of my ID... Ahh no..
Look at it to see if I was old enough...ok.. Copy my info, no... I walked out...
Question.. is this normal? (no pun intended) Do other states make copies of your info?
