13. In New York State - if I mailed in the form tomorrow (April 22)

changing my registration to "no party" as it states on the NYS voter registration form, it won't take effect until after the GE anyway. I will still be listed as a Democrat for the next six and a half months.

Then I'd be unable to switch back to Dem to vote in a primary the next year because in NYS the deadline to change registration is in October - which may be the earliest such deadline in the country.

We have very regressive, onerous voting laws in this state. I think it should be made as easy as possible to vote or change registration - it's our vote not theirs -fuck the PTB. I'm inclined to be independent for good.
