1. Berea College has always been a haven of racial enlightenment and progress

Having worked closely with one alum, and met others, I've been very impressed by how much this one part of Kentucky has such a long and honorable history. First coeducational and biracial student body in the South, 1855. Still tuition free.

Dr. Webb is someone I'd like to read more... will check out Google books to see if she has published any.
