1. I was amazed to find my local theater filled for the Weds. matinee

And I live in a small town in Maine where almost everyone is white. This film has really crossed the cultural divide.

I'm sure a lot of the cultural references go right over the heads of white audiences, but in case anyone's wondering about what was actually going on in that mahjong scene, there is a LOT happening and you have to understand mahjong to understand the symbolism of the various tiles the two women held.
