Back to the Future, would Marty????

This was bought up in another board.

Because George McFly ended up being a SiFi writer, wouldn't Marty at some
point in his life think, Dad would really love to know what I did, and sit down and tell his parents what happened?

Also someone else pointed out, that in the scene where he says goodbye to his parents
at the dance, judging by the looks on their faces, they kinda knew.

He did, mention at some stage about the living room rug, they wouldve click when it happened.
