Dating in the Star Wars Universe must be awfully complicated. [View all]

My question: Where do babies in the Star Wars universe come from?

On Earth it's fairly straightforward:
You meet 10,000 people, out of those 1000 are your age, out of those you get to know 100 people really good, and out of those 10 will be considered for mate.

In the Star Wars universe, dating becomes way more complicated:
Sure, every race has its home-planet, but there are other planets where the demographics are a wild mix of various species. If your species makes up 10% of the demographics, your odds of finding a significant other are automatically lower by a factor of 0.1.

This allows for two possible results:
- In the Star Wars universe, people are automatically less picky when it comes to romance.
- If the pickiness weren't reduced, that would mean that way fewer kids are born in multi-species societies, leading to a permanently shrinking population on those planets, making a permanent influx of immigrants necessary from single-species societies.

Or maybe there are galactic versions of dating-apps and online-dating-services.
