7. How is that meant to make ANYONE feel safer?

As a random person walking through the airport, it makes me feel nervous. I know nothing about this person carrying a high rate of fire weapon through a crowded airport. I'd be worried to turn my back.

As the gun carrier, he must be aware that a "good guy with a gun" knows nothing about this guy, and might decide that such a conspicuous display of a weapon might mean something amiss.

If I were in that airport terminal, I'd be reporting to security that there is a man carrying a large gun openly in the terminal. Acting suspiciously? Well, he's CARRYING A LARGE GUN OPENLY!

Oh, wait, he's a white dude, nothing to see here, apparently.
