3. "I missed my time limit for alerting" -- I began an alert on that post just to see, and it appears I can alert on it

I want to post about an experience I had with someone called Skinner who was or is with Democratic Underground. have meant to do it for years.

but I didn't go through with the alert, since as far as I know, they may want to post something positive.

OTOH it might be a smear that might be up for awhile.

On the time limit to alert -- one can alert on a post that's been up less than 24 hours (or less than or equal to 24 hours), and it will go to a jury.

After that, in my experience, when one clicks the alert button, it will say this alert will be sent directly to the administrators and asks for a reason for the alert. And one can cancel out of that which is wise unless one strongly feels that it is really serious enough to bother an admin about.

edited to add I just checked the person's profile (which shows the person's latest 5 posts) and so far that person hasn't posted anything outside of the DU Community Help thread where they ask where should i post ( as of 430 PM ET )
