5. I remember reading an account somewhat similar to the first one before.

A person who was explaining how they basically just froze up, mentally, in shock, unable to say or do anything until it was over, then drastically cut short the visit and made sure they never saw the person ever again, and didn't admit it or talk about it for decades. Only then the recounting of what had happened, and how it had made any sort of real relationships next to impossible for all that time.
