I'm ashamed to say I knew very little about her until I read that article. Seems to be the way with so many valiant women -- their contributions just get erased or "forgotten" by design. One of my favorite things about Cosmos is the fact that the stories of so many important women in science -- women most folks never heard of -- are now being told.
