Sorry. I feel like I'm turning this thread into the Music Appreciation Group, so I won't gush for long, but having a few years on you, listening to Husker Du for the first time in 1985 when a friend gave me a copy of New Day Rising and I rushed out the next day and got Zen Arcade, made me realise music wasn't just the boring new wave stuff of the era and opened the door to me discovering things like the Meat Puppets and the Pixies and the Replacements. Everything Bob Mould's done, from Sugar to his solo stuff has been stellar, though he did push the friendship a little bit when he did that rap thing on 'The Last Dog and Pony Show'...

Okay, I'll stop gushing now and leave everyone with some music that hasn't aged one iota since 1985, though my daughter argues strenuously that it has. I will admit that those ugly guitars have aged badly, though...

Not a fan - and Lewis's attempt at a faux-country career was just awful - but good for them. Really. nomorenomore08 Jun 2014 #10
