I have had a bellyful of men "advising" me how I should be. Those men love to give unsolicited opinions, and then get offended when you aren't hanging on every word of the "advice" that you didn't ask for (or even indicate that you were in any way open to receiving).

If I want advice, I'll ask for it.

If I don't ask for advice, STFU.

You get to be uppity if and when a man (or anybody else) says so?

I don't fucking think so.

You get to be however you want to be, whenever you want to be, based on what you decide. Not because of somebody else's fucking bullshit permission.

Oh, la dee da... we get to be "uppity" if some random dude says the argument passes muster with him.

Fucking wheeee, yee-ha, oooo boy howdy, pinch-me-I'm-dreaming.

Don't know who said it, don't care, just fuck that noise.
