The people like us in Greece have been able to retire at 52 and get a government pension, that will end I would imagine. But the real culprit as I understand it are Wall Street Banks, Goldman Sacks to be sure, who assisted in hiding the true story of the financial mess that was created by borrowing as a way to run an economy. The citizens of Greece probably had no idea what was really going on. So the banks will call in the loans and are going to be paid and the citizens who did not cause the problem are taking it in the shorts. Oh, one more thing, I understand tax payments in Greece are very low, people rich and poor get away with simply not paying their fair share of what it costs to run a country.
