Million Hoodie March in Los Angeles--PHOTOS [View all]

Hastily organized in only 3 days, the L.A. march yesterday (Monday) was a huge success with 2,000 people or more participating in the pre-march rally at Pershing Square, the 8-block march to City Hall, and the post-march rally there.

There was a heavy police presence (including FOUR police helicopters conducting surveillance from the sky!), but I didn't see any confrontations or arrests--and we were allowed to march down the middle of the street, not confined to the sidewalk.

Here's the crowd at the pre-march rally at Pershing Square...

And some signs...

I saw at least 4 different T-shirt designs, including one using the image of the official poster for the march, one featuring the President's quote, "If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon," and this one...

This is the front of the march (with a lot of people with their backs to the camera trying to take pictures)...

And part of the crowd at the rally at L.A. City Hall after the march...

And, finally, a photo of pinboy3niner there...
