1. Chop Suey palaces in the 19th Century.

we were going through a collection of early 19th century photos of infrastructure being built in a city, in upstate NY. I was surprised to find multiple Chop Suey places in the business neighborhoods. Back then, family and women would dine upstairs. In the 1960's through the early 80s there were only a couple of places. Now dozens and dozens.
