Your mom and I were born the same year, so I can very much identify with her.

And I'm old enough now that I read the obits in my local paper faithfully. A week ago I saw that someone I used to work with at the local hospital died. She and I weren't close, and I hadn't seen her for a decade, but she was likewise my age and so it struck home.
