or at least a better description if the pics are just small shards of summat or other.

I doubt, if it exists or was just filed under W for weird in a sub basement somewhere because their gear in the 1930s wasn't up to the job of analyzing it properly, that there's enough of it to give clues to the construction of a warp drive, gravity plating, or a system to isolate occupants from the consequences of Newtonian physics. Such an intact contraption would have to be massive, too big to hide.

Now that Oumuamua alerted us to the existence of interstellar rocks and quite possibly intergalactic rocks, one wonders if that's what they're talking about, metallic meteorites from long ago in a galaxy far away...
