2. FYI where I grew up in the '70s, businesses were closed on Sundays -- as people became less religious

stores started opening up. This went on throughout my childhood. The last pillar to fall was the liquor Blue Laws. But to be fair, the more conservative Catholics and Protestants didn’t want either rule to change.
