(36,752 posts)20. It is quite clear to me that the establishment clause of the First Amendment
        was meant to keep Religion out of government. The free exercise clause was to prevent government from oppressing any religion group. BUT, religion has no place in  secular government.
And no religious document should be used to base a law or legal ruling.

        It shouldn't be exempt.  The history of many standing religions shows that they have not been exempt.
