I have a broad interest in late nineteenth and early twentieth century western history, and this is a topic not often addressed straightforwardly owing to the secretive nature of the Klan. However, I also grew up in the south during the civil rights movement, and I think it's likely some of my maternal relatives were small town klansmen. They were certainly sympathetic. So it's personal, too.

People suck. Knowledge is power.
