The Israeli press, in a VERY stupid, move, ran with it.

And, yes, it was right out of the Russian propaganda playbook, just like "Zionism is Racism", started in the early '60s, and of course, who can forget "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." When it comes to Jews, Russian leasers never miss an opportunity to express their anti-Semitism.
