People who saw very, very clearly that Kamala was being sworn in were reeling on Wednesday, but they stuck with still seeing the same.
From a practical perspective since I have no higher wisdom, I think that there may be a need to let one of Trump's main agendas at least start to play out. I know, I know...all of it is horrific and the mere thought of the suffering of innocents is too much to bear most of the time. But nearly half of this country regularly votes for people with destructive agendas, their supporters don't seem to believe they REALLY will do it, and when they try to do it Dems save everyone by somehow stopping the worst of GOP legislation from being enacted.
So the lesson is never learned. People don't realize the Dems are stopping the damage, they simply assume the GOP isn't as extreme as we're saying.
I'm thinking Trump's team is going to start putting things in place even before 1/20 that will show more people who will pay attention that, oh shit, he's serious. If they truly are getting things in place to act on rounding people up into camps on Day One, I think millions of people who voted for him are going to be horrified when they see it in action.
How do we thread the needle of letting the lesson be learned so we don't have to go through this CONSTANTLY, but also not let widespread tragedy manifest? I'm hoping Biden-Harris have some answers there, and that's why they seem to be conceding so quickly and so graciously in the face of what they very well know is fascism and not politics as usual at all.
Something feels...amiss.
If Trump goes, then we have Vance which might be even worse. Then the Speaker, good grief if that's Mike Johnson. Can you speculate on how MAGA won't be in the White House even if Trump isn't?
Thanks very much in advance.
