4. The Post Office handles billions of pieces of mail every single day.

A while back I arrived at a local post office just as they were doing one of the three daily emptyings of the four mailboxes in front. Each one of the four was extremely full. And that was just one of three emptyings of just four mailboxes out of how many thousands are out there?

In reality, we have had the best post office in the world for a very long time. Talk to anyone who deals with foreign post offices (I have a friend who does regularly) and you'll learn just how good ours is.

Also, I saw something a day or two ago that gave numbers on the many millions of packages the P.O. handles in the last week or ten days before Christmas. Typically vastly more than the potential mail-in ballots this November.
